KOMINKA STAY | TAIKI, MIE, JAPAN
A stay that softens the heart.
Return to stillness. Return to yourself.
Main house, sunken hearth, tatami rooms, a detached annex, a wood-fired sauna and an open-air bath. The entire property is yours for the day — one group only, up to 8 guests.
One group per day | Whole-house rental Hours around the hearth
Gather around the fire, talk, and let the day unwind. Time with the people who matter, savoured slowly — the heart of a stay at Enishi.
Tatami rooms
Aged beams and joinery still breathing after generations. Soft light filters through the paper screens as the hours pass at their own pace.
The annex
A soaring open ceiling and the old farmhouse beams. Under a lamp that glows like the moon, read, talk, or simply enjoy the luxury of doing nothing.
Wood-fired sauna | Open-air bath | Cold plunge The real thing, heated by firewood.
Wrapped in the scent of cedar and the heat of burning wood, warmth reaches the core. A quiet 整い — the deep calm after the sauna — with no one else on the property.
Open-air bath & cold plunge
Cool the body in the plunge after the wood-fired sauna, then soak under open sky and green. A quiet interval where the everyday falls away.
Dining
We can also arrange ingredients for the sauna and barbecue, as well as breakfast and dinner featuring local specialties such as Matsusaka beef and Ise spiny lobster. Prices and availability depend on the number of guests and dates — please contact us for details.
